This project is built or running, so every gate counts as passed.
Build odds is ArusGrid's reading of the public record, not a forecast, a rating or advice. It counts the gates this project has passed in public sources. Private progress does not show, a passed gate can be undone, and projects that pass every gate still stop. The method has not yet been tested against outcomes. How it works.
Ulanqab holds 18 active projects with 1,262 MW of planned IT load between them, and Kuaishou Intelligent Cloud Ulanqab Data Center has no published figure so it sits outside that ranking. Of those, 4 are operational, 4 are operational and expanding, 1 is under construction, 2 are at the land and permitting stage and 7 are announced only. No third party publishes a colocation vacancy rate for Ulanqab, and ArusGrid does not estimate one.
Kuaishou has 2 others in China tracked by ArusGrid, including Kuaishou Horinger Computing Centre (快手和林格尔新区算力项目) and Kuaishou Xinghe Data Center, Ulanqab. It sits on the Kuaishou Ulanqab campus alongside Kuaishou Xinghe Data Center, Ulanqab. No tenant has been disclosed, which is normal for colocation and says nothing about occupancy.
The dated record runs from under construction on 16 June 2020 to operational on 1 September 2023. The money on record is CN¥10bn as of June 2020, the announced investment. Cooling uses air cooling, with a design PUE of 1.2.

A party to this project (its operator, that operator's group, a funder, or a confirmed client) is headquartered in China or Macau or has an ultimate parent there. US rules require a licence for advanced AI chips destined to such entities wherever they are located. This describes the rule and says nothing about whether a licence was sought, granted or refused. Criteria are published on the Methodology page.
