Data center projects in HCMC metro

ArusGrid tracks 9 active data center projects in HCMC metro, Vietnam, with 622 MW of planned IT load. Of these, 2 are operational, 1 is under construction, 5 are at the land and permitting stage and 1 is announced only. Projects under construction or commissioning account for 100 MW and operational sites for 10 MW of planned capacity. Operators have disclosed 10 MW actually running, a figure most of them do not publish.

The largest project is SGI-HCM Campus (AI Data Center Complex) at 200 MW, at the land and permitting stage. The operators with the most planned capacity here are AIC-KBC (200 MW across 1 project), SAM (150 MW across 1 project) and Viettel (100 MW across 1 project). Published colocation vacancy in HCMC metro was 34.8% as of June 2026, on 33 MW of operational colocation capacity as counted by Cushman & Wakefield. Vacancy excludes hyperscaler self-build.
